Another yikes.

While I appreciate the efforts of people to bring back coat and tie wearing to the mainstream, I don't think beach footwear and rolling up the coat like shirt sleeves is going to help it be any cooler. I will often defend stylish things brought back into fashion that are slightly off, but in the right direction. This isn't one of them. I think this kid should take a look at the old Connerys. Bond -- James Bond -- may have been a sexist pig, but he sure looks cool. And he never needed to make a coat and tie "more casual" to achieve it. The best part is, he can keep his white shirt and dark skinny tie with just a change of footwear and trousers.
